The Disaster Case Advocacy (DCA) Program supporting residents impacted by the June 2024 severe weather event will conclude on December 24, 2024. Residents seeking assistance are urged to contact the DCA program before the deadline.

LT-DRC and Call Center Key Information

In-Person LT-DRC (Clay County)

  • Last day for in-person assistance is Monday, December 22, 2024
  • Location: Spencer City Hall (101 W 5th St, Spencer, IA 51301)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

LT-DRC Call Center

  • The call center will permanently close on Wednesday, December 24, 2024
  • Call 515-675-1884
  • Hours: Monday – Sunday, 7 AM - 7 PM

Advocacy services related to the June event will end at the close of business on Wednesday, December 24, 2024.

Accessing an Advocate 

Residents who need to reach an advocate are strongly encouraged to:

  • Visit the LT-DRC in person before it closes on Monday, December 22
  • Reach a Disaster Case Advocate through the call center until Wednesday, December 24

Advocates can support you with:

  • Navigating FEMA, Insurance, SBA, and other processes

  • Applying for programs and assistance

  • Identifying and accessing new resources

  • Developing a home repair or rebuild plan

  • Creating a unique recovery plan with steps to reach your recovery goals

  • And more, based on your disaster-related needs

The DCA Program is working closely with local groups to engage local support for households with unmet needs after the state's program concludes.
