2021 Iowa Homeland Security Conference
The 2021 Iowa Homeland Security Conference will take place October 13-15, 2021, at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny.
This year’s conference will be a hybrid event. Participants and speakers will have the ability to attend in-person, virtually, or both. There is a variety of speakers chosen this year, and they will share their experiences and lessons learned from the upcoming Emergency Support Function (ESF) areas to include real-world events. Our conference planning team consisted of staff from the HazMat Task Force, Safeguard Iowa, and from the local emergency management field, who provided topics that will appeal to a broad range of responders. As we develop our agenda, our goal is to continue to incorporate topics related to the Emergency Support Functions that are being updated by local emergency management coordinators in support of the state Planning, Training and Exercise Strategy: ESF 6-Mass Care, ESF 8-Public Health, ESF 10-Hazmat, and ESF 11-Ag & DNR.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
